Our Trip to Texas  April 10-18, 2009

We left Michigan on Friday, April 10th. Rained all day. Covered lots of miles.

On Saturday we saw a sign for the Little Rock National Cemetery so we had to stop to take a few photos.

Always wondered why I never saw photos of the inside. (because it's not allowed)

We took a short walk on the River Walk, but it was too early for most shops.
Beautiful never the less. Click here to view the photos.

Stopped along the roadside to snap  a few photos of the famous wildflowers.

Before leaving Louisiana, we toured the Rip Van Winkle Gardens on Jefferson Island.

A couple of times on the way home I wished I had the camera. Once during dinner at a Creole restaurant named Prejean's in Louisiana. www.prejeans.com There was a live band and a huge stuffed alligator.

The other time was just after we crossed the Louisiana/Mississippi border. We saw 2 wild boar eating grass beside the highway. Could not believe our eyes.

Great vacation!
